Thomas Ramette finished on the podium at the second round of the Arenacross World Tour series, with a third place finish in the main event in Manchester.

After a tough round one, where he had the speed for the win but a crash cost him a podium finish, the French ace and three-time former Arenacross UK champion was keen to get a result.

He topped his group in qualifying and finished second in his opening heat race, before grabbing the holeshot in race two before taking another runner-up finish.

In the main event Ramette hit the front early on and held the lead for much of the race. He was eventually pushed back to third place, but battled to hard to try and regain positions. Building to make a pass for second, he lost time in lapped traffic, taking the chequered flag in third.

Ramette commented afterwards, "It was great to be back in Manchester and it is amazing to be back on the AX World Tour podium. I am a little disappointed with the main event as I found my pace and wanted that seond place back. But, I am so happy for my team and as always we are having some serious fun out there on my bike, which was working perfectly."

Team boss Geoff Walker added, "It was a pretty epic night, and hats off to Thomas, he absolutely smashed it. The pressure was on to get back into the championship before we head to the Abu Dhabi finale and he got some points back. That was the mission and Thomas stepped up. We're absolutely buzzing with this podium performance and we have so much to look forward to, moving forward in 2025."
