Pole and win for Durham at Oulton

Powerslide Suzuki's Asher Durham secured pole and took the race win on his 8R at Oulton Park at the weekend, and now sits second in the championship standings.

Durham was in impeccable form all weekend, inside the top three in both practice sessions before topping qualifying. His teammate, Cameron Dawson, missed the front row by a tenth of a second, and started fourth on the grid.

In the race Durham was part of a multi-rider battle at the front, with just over a second covering the top six at the chequered flag.

Durham kept his composure and took a narrow victory, with Dawson crossing the line in sixth place.

Team boss Brad Clarke commented afterwards, "The race was, I'm sure, great to watch as a fan, but not so much as a team owner. There are some exceptionally talented riders on the grid. One small mistake can be the difference between a podium and 10th on some occasions. Everyone in the team has done a fantastic job. We're in the championship run-in now, and there's all to play for."
