KNIGHTER AND SR75 SUZUKI STORM TO SECOND AT SKEGNESS

Back to news

Following an impressive outing at Weston beach race, David Knight and SR75 Suzuki continued to improve their form with a hard earned second place at Skegness beach race over the weekend.

Knighter, who is still on the path to recovery after breaking his back only a few months ago, raced his SR75 Suzuki RM-Z450 for 40 gruelling laps of the sand course during the three-hour endurance race.

Knighter, summarising the race, said, “I got a decent start, breaking away in the top five and settling in steadily. I passed a couple of riders in the first half lap, putting me up to third. I haven’t ridden sand like that for about eight years, so I just took it steady. I made it up to second and found a good rhythm. It was a tough race with riders tiring and crashing in front of me, so I had to keep my concentration. Again my Suzuki RM-Z450 was bulletproof and didn’t miss a beat all race and I felt stronger than I did at Weston.”

Geoff Walker, Team Manager, added, “It’s another excellent result for the SR75 Suzuki team. I’m still chuffed to be working with David, and he is proving what he and our outstanding RM-Z450 race machinery is capable of. I’m excited to keep pushing forward with this awesome initiative!"
