Suzuki to celebrate four decades of GSX-R at MCL

Suzuki will celebrate four decades of GSX-R at Motorcycle Live [MCL] - which runs from 15-23 November - with an anniversary display of bikes and special guests.

Starting with the original GSX-R750F from 1985, Suzuki will have a display of GSX-Rs representing a variety of capacities and eras, from 1100s to SRADs, the revered K5 1000 through to the new GSX-R1000R 40th Anniversary Edition.

To help celebrate GSX-R, 2025 Bol d’Or winner and 2024 Endurance World Championship champion Dan Linfoot will be present at MCL on the opening day. Riding a GSX-R1000R for the Yoshimura Suzuki Endurance Racing Team, Linfoot won the prestigious Bol d’Or 24-hour race in September, making it three wins in a row at the historic event, and the fourth win in five years for the GSX-R1000R.

He will be joined by Suzuki legend and three-time British Superbike champion, John Reynolds. Reynolds, who lifted the 2004 British Superbike Championship crown with Suzuki, will be present at MCL across both weekends. He and Linfoot will also appear on the main stage on the opening day of the show.

In addition to its GSX-R celebrations, Suzuki will also display its new models for 2026, including the GSX-8T and GSX-8TT, which combine retro spirit with modern performance and take styling cues from Suzuki’s of the 1960s and 1970s.

The 8T and 8TT will feature alongside the award-winning 8S and 8R, and the V-Strom 800RE and V-Strom 800DE, which also use Suzuki’s 800 platform. The bigger V-Strom 1050 and V-Strom 1050DE complete the adventure bike lineup, and the GSX-S1000GX and GSX-S1000GT represent the brand’s sports-touring offerings, both models utilising the proven and punchy 999cc engine found in the GSX-S1000 naked and the Katana.

The legendary Hayabusa, which celebrated its 25th anniversary at MCL last year, will again be showcased.

Other new arrivals on display include the DR-Z4S and DR-Z4SM, and the updated Address 125 scooter, which joins the Avenis 125, Burgman Street 125EX, and Burgman 400 in Suzuki’s scooter range.

The learner-friendly GSX-R125 and GSX-S125 will be displayed and new riders can get a taste for them in the show’s Get On area, aimed at those taking their first steps into motorcycling.

Those with a full motorcycle licence will be able to take a number of Suzuki models out for a test ride, so long as they are able to produce their driving licence and a DVLA check code. Test rides will be offered on a first-come-first-served basis.

Suzuki can be found on stand 3D25 in hall 3A. Tickets can be purchased here.
