Suzuki and KC Superbikes to support 10th anniversary Blood Bikes Cumbria open day

Suzuki and popular Carlisle-based dealership KC Superbikes will be supporting the 10th anniversary Blood Bikes Cumbria open day, which takes place on 16 June at Carlisle airport.

The free-to-enter event is focussed around road safety skills and awareness, and will feature courses on bike control, with ride-outs operated by the IAM and RoSPA providing those that take part with feedback from qualified national observers.

Suzuki – in conjunction with KC Superbikes – will be displaying its newest range of products, including the 25th anniversary edition Hayabusa, the new-for-2024 GSX-S1000GX plus the GSX-S1000GT, and the newly-launched GSX-8R and GSX-8S, which use Suzuki’s new 776cc parallel twin and come with a bi-directional quicksifter and selectable power modes and traction control settings as standard.

A registered charity, Blood Bikes Cumbria is run by a team of volunteers and provides free ‘out of hours’ cover for the NHS, transporting vital and lifesaving blood and laboratory samples between hospitals and medical centres in Cumbria.

Suzuki GB head of motorcycles, Jonathan Martin, said, “Everyone knows the amazing job Blood Bike riders do, not just in Cumbria but up and down the country, and we’re really pleased to be working with our partners at KC Superbikes to be able to attend at the 10th anniversary event. It’s great to be able to put the spotlight on those people and be there to support the event.”

The Blood Bikes open day will be hosted at Carlisle airport on Sunday 16 June, with trade stands and displays and live music throughout the day.
