SR75 Suzuki's Charles Lefrancois took a break from Arenacross competition at the weekend to win one of Europe's biggest supercross titles, when he was crowed King of Herning in Denmark.
The Frenchman raced his RM-Z450 to three wins on the second day of action, backing up his win and two podium finishes on the opening day of competition to lift this year's crown.
It was the second year in a row an SR75 Suzuki rider has picked up the title, with Thomas Ramette lifting the crown in 2018 on his RM-Z450.
Lefrancois said after winning this year's event, "This is a great title to take and it is fantastic to ride this well, as I know my progress with SR75 Suzuki is already beginning to show what we can do.
"I am so happy and excited at this moment as I dream of success every race. I thank everyone who helps me and it is great to have the Suzuki family behind me as we work to bring this success wherever we race in the world."
Team manager Geoff Walker added, "To have Charles take this title so early in our first year together is fantastic. We work to give him the best package and most positive influence possible which allows him to race in different countries with our support from Suzuki.
"It is great to see Charles grow in confidence and we look forward to getting our guys back here for this weekend's Arenacross finale. But to be crowned King of Herning is very cool."
