Ken Roczen took a race win as part of the first triple crown round of the year, which took place in Houston, Texas over the weekend. In the fourth round of the 2026 AMA Supercross Championship his win, followed by a fifth and a fourth, secured him third overall.
The result also meant the German took his third overall podium from four rounds this season, as he continued his consistent start to the season to remain in championship contention.
He was in the fight for the overall win throughout all three races in Houston, and holding fourth in the final race he was fighting for the final spot on the podium, which would have secured him the overall victory, but a small mistake as he kept pressure on his rival cost him time and the chance to take the overall victory.

He said, “I was comfortable on the track, although when the racing came around the track was pretty sketchy; it was very high-speed and we had a couple of obstacles that enhanced that a little bit. I started off the first race with the holeshot and was in the lead the whole time and was able to win that one. That felt really good to start the night off with a good result like that.
"The second race was a little bit tougher, as I didn't get off the gate as well. But I was able to ride my way up to fifth, and we ended up finishing there. That made it tight for the overall going into race three; I was tied and I knew what I had to do and where I had to be at the checkered flag to be able to pull off the overall. There was a lot of madness going on in that last one and in the middle of the race I lost a couple of spots because I missed the rhythm section.
"I don't want to complain, because it is a podium, but it is tough when a win is right in front of you and you just didn't get it. Nonetheless, we’re happy to finish it off healthy here on the podium. The championship is looking really good, too."
