Despite still racing through painful shoulder and ankle injuries, Ken Roczen continued his consistent run of form to finish on the podium in Philadelphia, at round 13 of the AMA Supercross Championship.
Putting the pain to the back of his mind, Roczen grabbed the holeshot in the main event and led for 13 laps before eventually relinquishing the lead. He put up a fight and took the chequered flag in third, cementing his position in the top-three in the championship.
He said afterwards, "I didn’t ride at all last week until the Thursday. I did just a 20-minute fun session to get at least a little time on the bike. This track was a big problem for me with five right-hand turns; it’s my right ankle that’s hurt. But, when I was leading, I didn’t care about anything. I was just riding. I did my thing, like I have been doing for last few weeks."
