Ken Roczen has won the 2026 AMA Supercross Championship. On his Progressive Insurance Suzuki RM-Z450, Roczen managed his race the final round of the championship at Salt Lake City to lift the crown.
Roczen entered the final round with the red plate and a one-point championship lead. In the main event he rounded the first turn in second place, just behind his championship rival. One corner later, though, and he was in the race lead and pulled away.

He maintained a steady advantage, with his rival giving chase. Riding composed, he forced his adversary into a mistake, when he crashed out at the halfway stage.
Roczen continued to lead until the closing stages. Knowing all he had to do to clinch the title was finish ahead of one other rider, when he was eventually challenged he made the sensible decision not to fight for the win. Though he dropped out of the podium places, he still did enough to be crowned the 2026 AMA Supercross champion.
The championship marks his third major title with Suzuki, after winning the 2016 AMA Pro Motorcross Championship and the 2023 World Supercross Championship.

"What a fairy tale ending it has been for me and the team," said Roczen. "It took so much work to get here. It wasn’t easy, there were just a lot of nerves going on. When it counted the most in the main event we got a great start, made a pass happen, had an insane race, and then just had a little bit of peace and quiet toward the end to bring it home.
"It was a dreamy ending. We won the championship and it's huge. I’ve already had an incredible time celebrating with the team but I can’t wait to really process everything."
