Powerslide Suzuki set for 2025 Sportbike Championship

Suzuki GSX-8R racing at Oulton Park circuit

Powerslide Suzuki will contest a full season in the Pirelli National Sportbike Championship in 2025, off the back of entering the final three rounds of the 2024 season, and they will do so with Taylor Moreton again onboard the GSX-8R.

With the new-for-2024 GSX-8R launched in the February, the team spent the summer building the bike, and - despite being on the back foot against rivals with nearly a season’s worth of experience and data - entered the final three rounds and achieved a best result of 10th at Donington Park.

Team owner Brad Clarke said of returning to the championship for a full campaign next season, "It is nice to have things in order so early on and it was never in doubt, signing Taylor again. He has shown great maturity whilst developing this new package and to break the top-10 at Donington was just the icing on the cake. We know that the bike is capable and so is Taylor once he gets to grips with it. The series has surprised everyone with the times being posted and it is only going to get better. We have built a brand new bike, should we also decide to field another rider as the more Suzukis we get on the grid the better.”

Moreton added, "I just want to say a huge thanks to Brad and Dale [Coaster] for the opportunity again and the belief they have shown in me. We go back a long way and it is a pleasure to represent their company and Suzuki and I will repay them with some solid results. I know my capabilities and also those of the bike and with the team we have around us, I know we can be competitive. I would just like to say a huge thanks to all my sponsors also that have helped me as without them I would not have this opportunity.”

The GSX-8R was MCN’s Sportsbike of the Year in 2024, and comes with a brand new 776cc parallel twin engine and a suite of electronics that includes traction control, power modes, and a bi-directional quickshifter as standard.
