New DR-Z4S and DR-Z4SM to lead Suzuki display at MCN London Show

Suzuki DR-Z4S

The new DR-Z4S and DR-Z4SM will be displayed in the capital over the weekend of 14-16 February, when Suzuki heads to the ExCeL for the MCN London Show.

Arriving in the summer, the new single-cylinder trail bike, DR-Z4S, – which gets switchable ABS, power modes, and traction control modes - and its supermoto sibling, the DR-Z4SM, will headline the Suzuki display.

The DR-Z4S and DR-Z4SM join the Suzuki range in 2025 to replace the previous generation DR-Z400S and DR-Z400SM. Both bikes developed a cult following, but for 2025 the new generation machines are equipped with a brand-new twin-spar steel frame with a separate, bolt-on aluminium subframe and aluminium swingarm. All that is wrapped around a 398cc engine, however, while capacity remains the same as the previous iterations, almost every component is changed.

The result is a Euro 5B compliant engine that delivers smooth, linear power. Fuelling comes courtesy of a ride-by-wire, 42mm bore, electronic throttle body and a 10-hole fuel injector. There’s a new slipper clutch, new air box, and a new exhaust system.

It will feature alongside the GSX-S1000GX, Suzuki’s crossover machine launched last year that is equipped with a comprehensive suite of electronics, topped by Showa semi-active suspension.

Also new-for-2024 was the V-Strom 800RE. It will be displayed alongside the more off-road-focused V-Strom 800DE, the V-Strom 1050, and the V-Strom 1050DE. Further representing Suzuki’s V-Strom range will be the V-Strom 800DE Rally Edition, built by Arenacross championship-winners and supercross-specialists SR75 Suzuki.

Powered by the same 776cc parallel twin engine and on display will be MCN’s Sportsbike of the Year 2024, the GSX-8R, and the Naked Bike of the Year 2023, the GSX-8S.

The GSX-S1000GT will feature, as will its naked stablemate, the GSX-S1000. The learner-friendly GSX-S125 will also be displayed alongside the faired GSX-R125, and Suzuki’s three 125cc scooters: the Avenis 125, Address 125, and the Burgman Street 125EX, plus the Burgman 400 maxi scooter.

And, after celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2024, the legendary Hayabusa will be shown, while MCN will proudly be displaying an original, 1985 GSX-R750F, to mark 40 years of GSX-R.

Suzuki can be found on stand D10.
