Jason Anderson narrowly missed out on a main event podium at Anaheim 2, finishing fourth on his Twisted Tea Suzuki RM-Z450. Roczen recovered from a crash in the opening laps to recover from last to eighth.

Anderson grabbed the holeshot in the main event and led the opening stages of the race. He battled for the lead and was still in podium contention when he was pushed off track. He dropped to fifth, but recovered to fourth place at the flag. The result moves him up to fifth in the championship standings, one spot behind his teammate, Roczen.

He said, "The weekend at Anaheim 2 went pretty well. In my heat race I was able to get a third, and then in the main event I grabbed a good start, led some laps, and was able to get fourth. So, we’re trending upwards but obviously we want to be on the podium."

With two podium finishes from the first two rounds, Ken Roczen battled back from a less than ideal start to finish inside the top-10.

A crash in the opening laps dropped him to last place, but he remounted and worked his way through the field to finish in eighth place, taking valuable points to remain in championship contention.

He said afterwards, "Anaheim 2 was not quite the night that we wanted. I made a big mistake on lap two and went down. We charged from 21st to eighth and left it all out on the track. That was as far up as I could reach. Luckily, I didn't lose too many points, so on that side of things it's all good. I'm pumped on the effort we all put in, and sometimes that's just the way it goes. So, we're going to try again in Houston."
