Suzuki 8Rs shine in Oulton Sportbike

Cam Dawson on the Powerslide 8R at Oulton Park

Suzuki GSX-8Rs enjoyed a strong showing in the Pirelli National Sportbike Championship at Oulton Park, with three 8Rs in the top-five in both races.

Powerslide Suzuki's Cameron Dawson was twice second at the opening round of the season, and on both occasions he narrowly missed out on the win, the deficit just five hundredths of a second in race one and under two tenths in race two.

Asher Durham at Oulton Park on the Powerslide 8R

JPR Performance's Rossi Banham was just shy of the podium on both occasions, twice finishing fourth, ahead of the second Powerslide Suzuki, ridden by Asher Durham, who took a brace of fifth-placed finishes.

The results mean 8Rs enjoyed a strong opening round to the season, after the bike won the 2025 championship in the hands of Kas Beekmans.

The second round of the 2026 season will take place at Donington Park on 15-17 May.
