Roczen to run number one plate on RM-Z450 in 2027

Roczen celebrating his championship

Ken Roczen will run the number one plate on the PMG Suzuki RM-Z450 in 2027, in a bid to defend his AMA Supercross Championship crown.

Roczen took five main event wins on his way to the 2026 title, and out of 17 rounds he was inside the top five on 14 occasions, with 12 podium finishes across the campaign.

The championship was Roczen’s third major title on RM-Z450 machinery, after winning the 2016 AMA Pro Motocross Championship and the 2023 FIM World Supercross Championship.

After re-signing with the team, Dustin Pipes, the team principal of Pipes Motorsports Group, said, "Very excited to have Ken back on the team. "This has been a great partnership with growth since the inception. Coming off the high of our AMA Supercross Championship this past season, we were eager to extend the partnership and keep him in Suzuki yellow for the foreseeable future. Ken is a huge asset to the team not only as an athlete, but the example he sets as a consummate family man and the work he puts toward his craft are heights we all strive for."
