Reigning Pirelli British Sportbike Champion Kas Beekmans will join Powerslide Suzuki and ride one of the team’s 8Rs for the remaining two rounds of the 2026 season.
Beekmans won the championship in 2025 onboard a Suzuki 8R, and made the step onto the world stage earlier this year, scoring a best result of fifth at Assen.
He joins as teammate to Asher Durham, who currently sits second in the championship standings for the Powerslide Suzuki team, just 12 points off the points lead.
Beekmans said of joining the team for the remainder of the season, “I’m really excited to be coming back to the British Sportbike Championship and the BSB paddock and to have the opportunity to run the number one plate. It’s a special feeling to return with Suzuki, and it means a lot to be back where I feel at home. Being the reigning champion means and responsibility, but I’m ready for the challenge.
"I can’t thank Brad, Dale [Clarke, Coaster - team principals], Dave [Tyson - team manager], and Suzuki enough for giving me a chance to keep on racing this year. I can’t wait to get back on the grid and get started.”
Team principal, Brad Clarke, commented, “We’re really pleased to be able to bring Kas back to the British Sportbike Championship and see him run the number one plate on a Suzuki again. I think he’s been having a solid debut year on the world stage and has shown real pace. There’s been some bad luck along the way and a few crashes. Though, definitely not always of his own making and always from the leading group, which shows his speed is without question.
"When there was the chance to put him on an 8R in the British championship again, this time for the official Suzuki GB entry into the series, we were really to keen do what we could and offer the support needed to get everything in place ready for Donington Park in just over a week’s time."
