Pole and podium for 8R at Brands

Ferre Fleerackers put his B.art Racing 8R on pole and raced to a podium finish at Brands Hatch in the Pirelli British Sportbike Championship. 

 

The young Belgian topped qualifying, but in the type of racing that has defined the class, was embroiled in a tight fight for the podium that allowed the race winner to pull away at the front.

 

Despite not in contention for the win in the end, Fleerackers still showed his and the 8R's speed, setting the fastest lap of the race on his way to second place.

Powerslide Suzuki's Asher Durham missed out on the podium by just a tenth of a second, involved in the same fight for the runner-up spot as Fleerackers.

 

Despite having to settle for fourth, he sits third in the championship standings.
