Richard Cooper took another National Superstock 1000 podium finish at the weekend, the Buildbase Suzuki rider claiming second place as the class joined the World Superbike paddock for the weekend at Donington Park.

Cooper was on pole for the weekend's race, with lap times consistently under the lap record. In the end, he maintained his record of finishing on the podium in every race and kept hold of his championship lead, coming away with second place.

He commented afterwards, "The pace was crazy this weekend, but it just shows the strength of the championship this year. But the team did another good job and we've added another podium to our results this year, and we're still leading the championship. I'm looking forward to getting back to the BSB paddock at Snetterton in a couple of weeks."
