8R wins in MotoAmerica Twins Cup at Road America

The GSX-8R took a win and a second place finish in the hands of Aussie Bodie Paige for M4 Ecstar Suzuki at Road America at the weekend.

 

In the MotoAmerica Twins Cup class Paige took his maiden victory, when he crossed the line in race one at Road America by half a tenth of a second.

 

In race two he made a last lap, last corner move for the lead in a bid to make it a double, but the move compromised his exit and he was out-dragged to the line, finishing second by an even more slender margin.

 

Paige, returning to action after missing the previous round through injury, said, "My plan was to get a good start and mess up my rival’s rhythm because he had some serious pace. I felt like I made some improvements in the race, and I made some gains in the infield. My team gave me a great bike, and helped me improve myself on the track. I can’t thank everyone who supports me enough."
