BURGMAN 400 Performance & Technology
POWERFUL ENGINE
ENGINE
At the heart of the Burgman 400’s polished performance is its powerful 400cc four-stroke, DOHC, single-cylinder, fuel injected engine.

Superior economy and range
Along with impressive low-to-midrange torque production, the efficiency of the new engine, including the iridium spark plugs, combines with the low kerb mass to achieve strong fuel economy and riding range.

DOHC 4-Valve Engine
This latest 400cc liquid-cooled, four-stroke, DOHC, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine produces great low-to-midrange torque and powerful performance, even when riding tandem.

Dual spark technology
Dual Spark Technology increases the number of spark plugs to two to improve combustion efficiency, reduce fuel consumption and achieve more stable power output.

1 ABS is not designed to shorten the braking distance. Please always ride at a safe speed for road and weather conditions, including while cornering. On the Hayabusa brake pressure is optimised while cornering.
2 Traction control system is not a substitute for rider’s throttle control under the various conditions, and traction control cannot prevent loss of traction due to excessive speed when entering turns, or while braking, and it does not control front wheel traction.
3 Helmets of certain shapes may not fit in the underseat storage compartment. Do not use the storage compartments for items that are fragile, valuable, dangerous, or susceptible to heat. Helmets and luggage are shown for illustrative purposes only. The weight limit for items in the underseat compartment is 10kg.
4 Full digital instrumentation All lights and indicators are illuminated in the photo for illustrative purposes. The Eco Drive Indicator does not automatically improve fuel economy but may Eco Drive Indicator help riders refine their riding efficiency and improve fuel consumption.
5 Stowed items are shown for illustrative purposes only. The weight limit the right storage bay is 1.5kg. The weight limit for items in the left storage bay is 0.5kg. Do not use the front compartments to store items that are fragile, valuable, dangerous, or susceptible to heat. Do not keep electronic equipment in the front compartments while riding as the vibration may cause damage. Items may be displaced depending on their shape and riding conditions. Be sure to keep the front left compartment lid closed while riding. Using the USB outlet while the engine is idling or stopped may drain the battery. Be aware of battery drain when using the USB outlet. Failure to observe the following instructions may result in damage to the scooter or connected device. Do not connect any electronic device other than a smartphone. Do not use when washing the scooter or when it is raining. Reattach the cap when the outlet is not in use.
