Saltire - Raising the standard

28th March 2006 heralded a new era in Scottish motorcycling when Saltire opened their doors at Dundee terrace in Edinburgh. Flying the flag for new Suzuki motorcycles, Saltire continued to ‘’Raise the Standard’’ winning award after award, from the prestigious "UK Dealer of the year" award to being voted the UK’s number 1 in the the Rider Power magazine survey.

Five years down the line in March of last year Saltire Motorcycles Ltd opened their new store just off Gorgie Road in the West of Edinburgh.

The new location is easier to get to, easier to park, and considerably larger in every department, providing the space we require to offer the level of service we want our customers to receive.

We now also have an on-site rider training facility and CBT yard offering all levels of training.

Dealer Q & A

with Calum Murray

Suzuki A50

I've got a bike for every mood, but I most commonly use the DL650.

They're all the best :)

Pulling away from the shop one evening and whilst showing off, I flipped my old XL250 and watched it ride up the street without me!

I guess that's greatly dependent on how the manufacturers decide to tackle legislation. Ideally we could with enticing new younger riders onto motorcycles. We need to re-invent the motorcycling scene so riding and owning becomes cool.

I can only see this happening if we in the industry invest in creating a community spirit of excitement and fun.
