SX Tour with riders on starting line on track

Back to news

SR75 Suzuki's Charles Le Francois bagged a podium finish at the Supercross de La Tremblade, finishing third on his RM-Z450.

Le Francois posted the third fastest time in qualifying, before taking the holeshot in the main event and leading the race in the early laps.

Picking a slower line through the whoops cost him time and dropped him down to third, but his pace remained consistent from then on. Pushing the leaders, he eventually took the chequered flag in third place.

The result serves as a huge boost in confidence for the Frenchman, who also finished third in his semi-final.

He said afterwards, "I’m so excited to be back on the podium and deliver this great result for Geoff [Walker - team owner] and the SR75 Suzuki team.
"I felt really good on my RM-Z450 and it was so much fun to grab the holeshot and be racing at the front of the pack with so many fans watching. I can’t wait for the next race!"

Team owner, Geoff Walker, commented, "It was an absolutely unbelievable feeling to witness Charles riding at this superb level, I’m totally overwhelmed to have been trackside to give him the support to achieve this fantastic result.

"This result really means a lot to myself and the team."
