The Lombard Express Suzuki team will be joined by Florent Richier for the final round of the 2017 British Motocross championship, with the Frenchman racing the team's RM-Z250 in the MX2 class.

The veteran Frenchman, who tested with the team today (August 25), will race the final round as a wildcard in the hotly contested 250 class.

Richier, from Sommières in the south of France, boasts a wealth of experience, and is excited at the prospect of racing with the team this weekend.

He said, "I'm looking forward to racing with Neil Prince's team this weekend. I have tested to the RM-Z250 and enjoyed it a lot. It'll be an experience this weekend, racing at Foxhill, but it's a challenge I'm looking forward to. Hopefully we can get a good result."

Team manager, Neil Prince, added, "It's great to get someone of Florent's experience onboard for the final round. He's a top rider that has raced against the best. It's never easy to just walk into the British championship at this stage of the season, but we're confident we can put a package together with the RM-Z250 that's competitive and we can have a good weekend."
